Bare Knuckle Boxing has become a huge phenomenon recently with promotions such as BKB and BKFC being the main two that have started this big fad for bare knuckle boxing. Boxing has been popular for 1000s of years being a very reputable and prestigious sport, but bare knuckle boxing hasn’t had this reputation until very recently bare knuckle boxing promotions were illegal. In fact, it became illegal in the U.S. in the year 1889 and didn’t become legal in the U.S. until recently in the year 2018, the owner David Feldman had this to say about it “As excited as we are for this event, we’re even more
excited to launch a new combat sport franchise with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. This is truly just the beginning”.

BKFC rose to glory very quickly and has signed tons of former UFC fighters like, Mike Perry, Eddie Alvarez, Luke Rockhold, Joey Beltran, Jimmie Rivera, and Chad Mendes just to name a few. Their most popular/highest earning show did 6 figures which is huge for a promotion that isn’t UFC or Bellator, but the show still fell below expectations because according to David Feldman “We anticipated to do more pay-per-views than we did,” Feldman told Unlocking the Cage. “We still did good. We did six-figures in pay-per-views, a little north of six figures, which was very, very good for us. We projected to do almost double that though, and actually I just got a report in today that says they found 734,000 illegal streams from that event.”

Now, BKB is another bare knuckle boxing promotion that isn’t as popular as BKFC but it’s still pretty popular in the UK/European market.

In conclusion, bare knuckle boxing has become a huge fad in a very short time and doesn’t look like it’s going to slow down.
