2023 FFA

FFA has had a very busy semester, participating in many different events. In August, the club held a barbecue and attended the Farm Progress Show. In September, FFA took home sixth place in the Section Three State Horse Judging, as well as fourth place (greenhand) and sixth place (varsity) at the Section 3 Forestry Competition at Wiley Park. The club also attended the Land Use competition last month, where the greenhand team placed third and varsity placed ninth. The Trapshoot team has also had a good season. On October seventh, the Section 3 Trapshoot took place, where the varsity team placed third out of nine with a combined score of 124 points, and Joseph Faulkner placing fifth in the varsity individual competition with a score of 45.

This week, Ms. Gustus and eight members of FFA are in Indianapolis for the Future Farmers of America National Convention. The FFA National Convention is a place for FFA members throughout the U.S. to meet up and interact, and attend sessions to partake in discussions about the future of agriculture. There are different companies, stores, and activities for the visitors to partake in. It’s the nation’s largest gathering of students, and it provides students with an opportunity to explore careers in farming. FFA has had a very good year so far, placing high in several different competitions, and traveling to many different events.

-Section 3 Living To Serve

-Agronomy Career Development Event

-November FFA Meeting
