Fall is the best time of the year, the change in the trees, sweatshirts, bonfires, Halloween, fall sports, and so many other things our hearts long for throughout the winter and summer months. Fall is also the best time to be generous. October kicks off The Student Hunger Drive throughout the Quad Cities.  Local High Schools in the Quad Cities and surrounding communities hold a 6-week challenge every fall to raise money, collect food, and raise awareness to help the hungry. From October 5th to November 9th, bring in canned food or money to your 5th hour class. Tomorrow, you can bring in cans as early as 7:30. Throughout the 6-week challenge, Orion will hold a number of events such as a donut eating contest, Mr. OHS, can sculpture contest, and many more. As of right now, dates are to be determined, but if you are interested in any of the events, contact a student council member or see Mrs. Swanson. Not to mention, if you bring in 20 cans you receive a free T-shirt! Together, we can end hunger!
