Mason Ramsey, better known as the Walmart Yodeling Kid, is currently 15 years old and regaining popularity on TikTok as of recently. Back in March of 2018, a video of Ramsey yodeling the song “Lovesick Blues” by Hank Williams at a Walmart went viral via a Tweet. On Youtube, the yodeling video has reached over 80 million views that you can watch if you click here. Ramsey, the viral sensation, later signed a deal with Atlantic Records and Nashville-based Big Loud entertainment company. Since then Ramsey has released songs such as his first single “Famous,” “Twang,” “Before I knew It,” and more. His song “Twang” seems to be a fan favorite since it has reached an astonishing 59 million views on YouTube that was released 2 years ago.

A different song called “Before I Knew It” also released 2 years ago by Ramsey has recently gained popularity on TikTok. Many people have rediscovered Ramsey through this song and his official TikTok account masonramsey, including myself. Many have also found themselves really liking Ramsey’s new song, which they convey was to their surprise through their own TikTok videos using the sound and seem to also pair in some quirky dance moves with the song in their videos which Ramsey will duet and copy.

If you dive deeper into Ramsey’s TikTok, you can see that he works at a Subway, and his newfound fans seem to enjoy that and make jokes about him going from Mason Ramsey to Gordon Ramsey, and he seems to go along with all the recent jokes he’s been receiving.
