National parks are seen because of their beauty and enjoyment all around the US. There are over 60 national parks in the USA covering millions of acres. These are the top 5 national parks in the USA.

Coming in at number 1 is Yellowstone national park. Yellowstone stretches across three states: Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. Yellowstone really has everything including mountains, various lakes, valleys filled with buffalo, hot springs, and even geysers.

At number 2 is Yosemite national park. Yosemite is located in California and is well known for its waterfalls. Some of these waterfalls include Vernal Fall and Bridalveil Fall. Yosemite also includes breathtakingly beautiful camping and hiking destinations.

Number 3, and my personal favorite, is Glacier National Park. Glacier covers Montana and some of Canada. It can be defined by water and mountains. This national park spans over 2 mountain ranges and includes over 700 lakes. Glacier also has many gorgeous hiking trails such as Trail of the Cedars and Iceberg Lake Trail. Another beautiful activity is the Going-to-the-Sun scenic road.

At number 4 is Grand Canyon national park. The Grand Canyon is located in Arizona at over 270 miles. This national park contains numerous hiking trails varying from easy to difficult. Some activities include riding a mule down the canyon or getting a helicopter tour.

The 5th best national park is Zion national park. Zion national park is located in Utah and is definitely for thrill-seekers. Zion includes many difficult hikes such as Hike Angels Landing or treks through The Narrows. If you’re into something a little easier try the scenic drive through 60 miles of Zion national park.
