Spike Out The Stigma

Wednesday, October 13th, the girls volleyball team had their annual fundraiser game against Geneseo. This year they changed it up and raised money for mental health resources for the schools. In the commons they still had a 50/50 and raffle baskets just like in the past years, but they also had different mental health based organizations tables, which had hand-outs and shared information about their organization and about mental heath and its importance. Different organizations that were there were: The Gray Matters Collective, Foster’s Voice, Trinity’s Robert Young Center and other local mental heath services. This was a great event, and a successful one at that. That night the event raised 3,400 dollars for mental heath resources for Orion and Geneseo. The money raised will be divided equally between the two schools.
