Facts that are FUN

Emiliah Morrison

Everyone needs some type of fun in their life so I’ve compiled a list of fun facts for everyone! Not only are these facts interesting and reliable but they are also educational.

  • In France, in 1386 a pig was executed by being hung in public for murdering a child.

Who knew pigs could be so dangerous? Either way, this fact is very surprising because this pig was sentenced to be executed just like humans used to be in public. Therefore, this pig was seen as equal to humans when dealing with murder.

  • The average person walks about three times around the world in their lifetime.

There’s nothing to say about this one other than that’s crazy! No wonder old people need canes.

  • A person can live without food for about a month, but only about a week without water.
If the amount of water in your body is reduced by just 1%, you’ll feel thirsty and if it’s reduced by 10%, you’ll die.

This one is mind- boggling because this means when you are thirsty then you are only 9% away from your water reducing to zero and you being dead. Don’t forget to drink lots of water, and I wouldn’t recommend going a week without it.

  • In France, it is legal to marry a dead person.

Not only is this extremely weird, but why is it allowed?  Imagine someone carrying their dead wife around at their wedding. Pretty messed up, to say the least, but hey whatever floats your boat.

  • A ball of glass will bounce higher than a ball of rubber.

Who would’ve thought? As kids, we all played with rubber bouncy balls when in reality we should’ve been bouncing marbles.

  • There are 60,000 miles of vessels in the human body.

WOW! That’s a lot of vessels in just one body. Crazy to think if you took them all out and strung them those 60,000 miles you could be a lot of different places at once, you would be dead, but you would be there.

  • If you believe that you’re truly one in a million, there are still approximately 7,184 more people out there just like you.

Not to crush your dreams or anything, but the truth hurts. You’re still special though because there’s technically only one YOU.

  • A sneeze travels approximately 100 miles an hour.

How GROSS!! Cover your mouth before you launch your nostril and mouth juices 100 mph at me.

  • It would take a sloth one month to travel one mile.

Poor sloth! Don’t worry guys he is just trying his best, don’t judge him!

  • About 150 people a year are killed by coconuts.

Dang, RIP. This must be one crazy way to leave this world.

  • Gorillas burp when they are happy.

This is lowkey kind of cute, but ewwwwww! Next time your pet gorilla burps, don’t say “excuse you” because that’s rude and they are just trying to show you they are happy. Harambe is burping up in Gorilla heaven. #RIPHARAMBE
