The new year can lead to high expectations for yourself to have a happier and healthier 2019. It can be very stressful when your resolutions list is as long as your christmas list, so here are some simple habits to stick with your new year resolutions:

  1. Keep it simple. Make resolutions that you think you can keep. By making your resolutions realistic, there is a greater chance that you will keep them throughout the year.
  2. Take one step at a time. Don’t get overwhelmed or discouraged. Instead, work toward changing one thing at a time.
  3. Share your goals. The more you talk about them, the most likely you’ll do them.
  4. Don’t beat yourself up. No one is perfect and minor missteps are completely normal.
  5. Ask for support. Accepting help from those who care about you and will listen strengthens will help you stick to your goals.
