Strong Start for OSU

Orion/Sherrard continued to strive over spring break. They won every game over the long week break, including winning their tournament. They started the week on Monday in Sterling and won by a score of 4-0. Lydia Clarke had a hat trick (3 goals), and Karsyn McCunn with the other goal. On Tuesday, OSU won an away conference game against DePue/Hall by a score of 8-0. Later in the week, they won against WB6 Rock Island by a score of 2-0. Jamie Abbott scored two big goals against the Rocks. Finally, on Saturday OSU won the Orion-Sherrard tournament with wins over Peoria Christian by a score of 4-1, 4-0 over LaSalle-Peru, and finished the tournament with a win over Peoria Richwoods in a shootout after a score of 0-0. Goalkeeper, Mary Mount, along with Kayla James, Emily Teel, Lydia Clarke, Kinsley Barnard, and Jamie Abbott held strong in the pk shootout to help OSU win the overall tournament. All Tournament Team included Claire McLoone, Kayla James, Lydia Clark, and Ashley Mathias. Currently, Orion-Sherrard United is 8-0 and has outscored opponents 28-1.
