The Kinder Egg is Back and Better Than Before

Katie Noyd, Journalist

It’s finally here! The one chocolatey snack everyone has been craving is back! If you havent noticed, your local gas stations and grocery stores are now selling Kinder Eggs. Since the 1930’s Kinder Eggs have been outlawed because of a law that banned candy with objects inside. These cute treats were created in Italy but are now being made all over the world. The true name of Kinder Eggs is Kinder Surprise because of the collectable surprise that comes inside them. The candy treat is highly popular in children but there are many adults that collect the surprises. These treats were banned because of the large choking hazard in children from eating one of these treats even though they do have a label on each egg that says “not suitable for children under three years, due to the presence of small parts”. These eggs were official produced in 2001 and then reached the UK in 2015. It wasn’t until November 24th of 2017 that Kinder Eggs returned to the U.S. The one issue with these eggs is that they now come in a different form. Instead of a fun surprises they contain sweat cream with cocoa wafer bites. After this comeback they have still made a huge profit off of the new formula. So next time you see these wonderful eggs of joy don’t forget to pick one up end enjoy their new and amazing formula!
