My Top 10 Albums Of 2022

My+Top+10+Albums+Of+2022

In the year of 2022 there was a wide variety of different music released, ranging from indie, pop, rap, etc. The Billboard’s top 10 albums of the year list displays this wide range of music fairly well, though I don’t fully agree with the albums that made it on that list. Even though I wouldn’t 100 percent agree with Billboard’s top 10, there are a few albums that deserved their place on the list. These albums being “Gemini Rights” by Steve Lacy and “Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers” by Kendrick Lamar. Since the Billboard’s top 10 isn’t all that great, in my opinion, I’ll give you a review on my top 10 albums of the year. Starting off at number 10, we have Kendrick Lamar with “Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers”. This album was an overall 7/10, with the best song being “Die Hard” featuring Blxst and Amanda Reifer. Moving on to number 9, we have Wallows with their newest album “Tell Me That It’s Over”. This was a pretty good album overall, but a lot of the songs did have a very similar sound. Due to this I would have to rate this album a 7/10. Filling in the 8th spot, SZA with “SOS’. This album really stuck out to me, especially the tracks “Kill Bill” and “Snooze”. This album came out early December and is already extremely popular, which is very impressive. Overall I would rate this album a solid 7.5/10. Moving on to the next album, “CRASH” by Charli XCX in the 7th spot. In my opinion, Charli XCX never fails to impress with her new music, which is why this album deserves an 8/10. Making it to the 6th spot, we have “Gemini Rights” by Steve Lacy. This album was so well put together, and has made some very popular songs. The best songs from this album, in my opinion, are “Helmet” and “Sunshine” featuring Foushee. Overall, I would give this album a rating of an 8/10. Next, Fleshwater with “We’re Not Here to be Loved” in the 5th spot on the list. This is one of the greatest albums I’ve heard, not just in this past year but overall, with a rating of 8.5/10. My personal favorite tracks from this album would have to be “Kiss the Ladder” and “Enjoy”. Moving to 4th on the list, we have Duster with their new album, “Together”. Duster is, personally, one of my favorite bands, and they always exceed the expectation. Their new release was genuinely so good. I don’t think there was a bad song on the album. Overall, I would rate this album a good 9/10. Moving on to the top three albums on my list, in 3rd we have Beabadoobee with her new album “Beatopia”. This album is such a good listen and every time it gets better and better. There isn’t one bad song on this album, but my favorites would have to be “10:36”, “See you Soon”, “Sunny Day”, and “the perfect pair”. With this album being one of the best of 2022, I would give it a rating of 9/10. Taking the number 2 spot on the list is “Jack In The Box” by j-hope, with a rating on 9.5/10. This album was jaw dropping, with the best tracks being “= (Equal Sign)” and “MORE”. Moving to the number 1 album of 2022, “Decide” by Djo. This album was good from start to finish, and there was not a single bad song. Djo really impressed with this album, and every single track was a 10/10. Though every song was good, there was one song that stuck out to me the most which was “Change”. This album was something I’ve never heard before and the style was very unique. Including every aspect, this album deserves a 10/10. Overall, the year of 2022 wasn’t the best year for music but there were still some very impressive albums.
