Green Flags in People

Green Flags in People

Gracie McHenry, Writer

Recently I did a story on people’s red flags. So I decided to go the opposite way and talk about things that make people a green flag. So, these are the top five green flags in my book.

  • Good hygiene
    • People who practice good hygiene are at the top of my favorite people list. Probably anyone’s list. Good hygiene should be a given but for some people, it is not. But those who do are loved for it.
  • Respectful
    • Being respectful is a very big green flag. Not just to people who they know like friends and family, but to people they have never met. It is a lot nicer to be respectful to people you know, but to be respectful to people you do not and isn’t necessarily being respectful to you, is a whole other ball field.
  • Admits mistakes
    • Admitting mistakes is a really hard thing to do. So meeting someone who can admit mistakes makes you respect them so much more.
  • Use messages more than Snapchat
    • Snapchat is now a very big social media site. You can have anyone and everyone on your Snapchat. You don’t have very many people that know your number, close friends and family only, probably. So for someone to choose to text over Snapchat, that is a green flag. That means they view you higher up than others they do not give their number to.
  • In tune with emotions
    • I feel like for anyone it is hard for you to be in tune with your emotions. So for those who are, it makes them extra special.
