The Scarlet Ink’s Calendar

The Scarlet Ink did a poll about its calendar and the results concerned me, since many people didn’t know where the calendar was located, so they couldn’t use it. The poll’s results showed that 5 people use the calendar, 2 do not use it, and 9 people don’t even know about the calendar or where the calendar is located on our site.
The Scarlet Ink’s calendar is located at the bottom of the website on the right hand side. So, if you are looking at the poll and you scroll down, you will see the calendar. I personally think the Scarlet Ink team needs to move it up higher or to where the poll is.
The calendar includes the high school’s lunches, sporting events, and the official Orion High School calendar that is in list form on a document which includes our half days, conferences/institutes that require no student attendance, and our holiday breaks. The calendar gets updated every month to coordinate with the school’s monthly lunch menu. The calendar is a combination of the schools’ lunch menu, athletic calendar, and Orion school district’s official calendar to make one coherent physical calendar for people to look at and use. The calendar is a great way to keep track of what is going on at Orion High School and I strongly encourage you to check it out and use it.
