Prom is right around the corner, and anyone that has been to a high school dance before knows the day of the dance can be slightly stressful. Not to say the day of prom isn’t stressful for boys as well, but girls typically need more time to get ready, making getting things done even more rushed and stressful. There are so many different things that need to get done on that day that they often become overwhelming. Below are some tips that will hopefully help alleviate some of the stress.

  1. Get as much stuff done the day before the dance. This will allow you to focus solely on preparing for prom on its day.
  2. Create a mental checklist. For example, if you need to get earrings still, make note of that and make sure to get it done whenever you can. Knowing what you need to get done can help take away some of the franticness.
  3. Get enough sleep, but don’t over sleep. Getting enough sleep will provide you with more energy for the day ahead, however, getting too much sleep may leave you groggy. Also, getting up at a good time in the morning will allow you more time to do whatever you need to get done, whether it’s your makeup appointment or chores.
  4. Set your things out ahead of time. For example, you could pick out your jewelry, your makeup you plan on using, or even lay out your dress or suit.
  5. Lastly, when things get busy, don’t freak out. Freaking out will only make things work.

Hopefully those tips were somewhat helpful, but if you’re looking for more good tips, check out this link. Don’t forget to buy your prom tickets either!
