Goodbye football. Goodbye basketball. Hello baseball. With winter sports coming to a close, baseball is the only sport for the long summer months. America’s Favorite Pastime has been a part of this country for 150 years, and since 1869, has been a favorite. This season, players have new teams, and we could see some new teams on top.

So far, the defending champions, the Boston Red Sox, have been one of the worst teams in baseball. After a 6-11 start, the Red Sox are hoping to get things back on track and defend their title. Meanwhile, their in-division rivals, the Tampa Bay Rays, have been doing great. They have an MLB-best record, at 12-4, and have surprised everyone so far. Could Tampa become the next champs of the AL East, or will Boston reclaim their title?

In the NL Central, the Cubs have been struggling with one of the worst records in the League. On the other hand, the Brewers have been playing well with help from the reigning NL MVP Christian Yelich. He already has 9 home runs, 8 of them coming against the Cardinals. He must really want to win back-to-back MVPs, and take down St. Louis in the process.
