The U.S. has warned citizens to stay on alert when traveling to the Bahamas. Violent crimes on some of their islands, including sexual assault by excursion instructors are causing people to be wary about travel. There are plenty of safe places to continue to travel in the Bahamas, but the government suggests that travelers stay clear of the Grand Bahama Islands and New Providence.

In other news, Alabama has been experiencing fatal weather. A category 4 tornado ripped through Lee County, Alabama and brought with it winds of 170 mph. The tornadoes have killed at least 23 people and have injured lots more. CNN has several photos of the damage that the tornadoes left behind.

Lastly, the candidates for the 2020 presidential election are working to get their names known. Officially, there are 12 democratic candidates and 3 republican candidates, including Donald Trump. The election is predicted to get out of hand and possibly get even crazier the our last presidential election. Some of Trump’s democratic opponents include California senator, Kamala Harris, and Bernie Sanders. Both Donald and Bernie Sanders are performing well in the polls. The election seems so far away but almost all candidates have begun to campaign and get their “wise words” out to the public.
