Plastic pollution has been a terrible issue for our environment for many decades. Plastic is a very useful product for consumer use, but due to the drawbacks caused by the poor disposal of plastic, I wonder if it is actually worth it to continue single use plastic packaging. It is a fact that since the introduction of plastic, numerous species of aquatic life have either been endangered or pushed into extinction due to their inability to tell the difference between microscopic plastic and their prey, such as krill or shrimp. It is important for us to care about what we put into our environment and we should take the time to clean up our act.
