Top 5 Quarterbacks of the 2018 Season

Gage Eastin

The NFL has many quality quarterbacks, but these five stand out from the rest.

#5 Phillip Rivers-

Rivers, once again, had another quality season, leading his team back to the playoffs for the first time since 2013. He was in the running for MVP until he fell off late in the season

#4 Matt Ryan-

Ryan has been stuck with a mediocre team for the majority of his career. He constantly puts up outstanding numbers that get overlooked due to his regular losing records. Although he wasn’t in the MVP race, he sure could have been.

#3 Tom Brady-

Brady had another Brady-like season, putting up consistent numbers and winning the majority of the games. Once again, he took his team to the playoffs and completely dominated everyone he came across, winning his 6th Super Bowl as a result.

#2 Drew Brees-

Brees is the most efficient quarterback in the NFL. Year after year he sets new records for completion percentage along with very impressive stats. His Saints were the number one team heading into the playoffs and fell just short of the Super Bowl with a loss to the LA Rams. It is safe to say that Brees will, again, be very impressive next year.

#1 Patrick Mahomes-

Mahomes is a second year gunslinger who found immediate success as a starter. His amazing abilities were often too much for the opposing teams and led to many huge Chief’s victories. He was efficient the entire season and was the only reason the Chiefs made it to the Championship round. Mahomes will be a force to reckon with in the league for the next two decades.
