Alright, so since all of this snow and awful weather has been hitting us like a sack of bricks, we have to find some way to make some good out of it. As of right now, a lot of the snow has actually melted, but (say around this coming Sunday), we’re supposed to get hammered with even more snow. I’ve recently taken up making ice cream out of snow, since it’s hard to drive anywhere else to get actual ice cream. Here’s how to make it:

  • Get a sizeable bowl, and start packing clean snow into it. Make sure to pat it down to allow more snow to fit in the bowl at once.
  • Add as much milk as you need to make it a little slushy and a creamier consistency.
  • Add in as much vanilla extract and sugar as needed. (bigger bowl = more ingredients)
  • Add a pinch or two of salt to enhance the flavor (not necessary, though).
  • Taste test to see if you’re happy with how it tastes!
  • Stick it in the freezer for about 30 minutes because it may be a little melted.
  • Take out, and add anything else you’d like!

Enjoy your home-made happiness!!
