If you want to do something to support a good cause this Valentine’s Day, go to the OMS volleyball game and help support Xander Carlson, an 8th grader who has had several procedures and visits to the hospital the past month because of a tumor he has in his brain. He is the brother of Noelle Carlson, a sophomore here at OHS.

You can help support Xander through several fundraising events. Some of them are a bake sale, 50/50 raffle, a serving competition, and a signed volleyball. If you would like to donate to any of these activities, they are in need of baked goods and 2 Liter bottles of pop. Contact Mrs. Nightingale if you would like to contribute by bringing any of these.

The 7th grade game starts at 5:30 and the 8th grade game follows. Everyone is asked to wear red for a “Red Out” night. Orion will be playing Rockridge that night.

If you would like to follow Xander’s journey, he has a page on facebook called ” Xan Xan the Tumor Man.” It shows daily things that he goes through and describes more about his situation.
