As most people know, Victoria’s Secret is a popular store that sells women’s clothing and undergarments. Malls across the U.S. have them, but recently, one closer to us suffered a tremendous loss in merchandise after a woman stole from them for over a span of two months.

Willshanique Evans, who is only 18, was arrested within the last week for stealing over $8,300 worth in merchandise from Northpark Mall in Davenport, IA. According to KWQC, Evans stole from the store on five separate occasions. On October 8th, when her heist first began, she stole $1,463 worth in merchandise. Later, on October 22, Evans was accompanied by two others, where they all picked up clothing and walked out without paying. On November 28th, she stole again, this time $2,277 worth in clothing, but was caught on camera. After the video was watched, a store employee was able to pick her out of a photo lineup.

Victoria’s Secret theft is a common occurrence across the country, but hearing about it so close to home is less common. A lot of students here at OHS have most likely shopped at Northpark, so maybe you encountered this thief and didn’t even know it.
