January 2005: In East Moline, Illinois, police found the body of Adrianne Reynolds in pieces throughout Black Hawk State Park. Adrianne was 16 years old and went to school at the Black Hawk Outreach center. She was the new girl at school and became friends with Sarah Kolb and Cory Gregory.

The day of the murder, Adrianne, Sarah, and other friends were headed to Taco Bell in Moline. As they got to the parking lot, Adrianne and Sarah started to get in an argument. Sarah was jealous of Adrianne because of all the attention she was getting at school. The other friends jumped into the conversation and it broke out into a fight. It is said that Adrianne was beaten with a wooden handle and strangled to death by a belt in broad daylight in the Taco Bell parking lot.

They put her body in the back of the trunk and drove to Mercer County. One of the friends had a grandparent who lived out there with a farm. They tried to dispose of her body by burning it. This attempt did not work, so they cut her body into pieces and dumped her at Black Hawk State Park.

One of the friends involved with this murder was Cory Gregory, who was 17 at the time. A news article came out on the qctimes website about him wanting a shorter sentence. His argument is that he was 17 at the time and a 45 year sentence is unconstitutional.
