End of School Year Events

With the end of the school year quickly approaching, especially for seniors, the excitement of graduation parties, baccalaureate, and graduation are all in full swing. Baccalaureate practice is today at one o’clock for the seniors. Cap and gowns will be handed out here along with some important paperwork for the end of the year. Baccalaureate will be Sunday, May 14, starting at seven o’clock.

The graduation ceremony will be next Sunday, May 21, at Orion High School. The ceremony will start at one o’clock. A new tradition will be starting at Orion next Friday as well. Seniors will walk the C.R. Hanna Elementary School as they reminisce their small beginnings in the old school. The younger students at the elementary school will line the hallways, watching the seniors walk through. This serves as a way to encourage younger students to work hard in school to achieve what those before them have, using the seniors as role models.
