Claire McLoone

With finals quickly approaching, it’s time to start getting prepared. Finals are Wednesday and Thursday never week and there’s no need to cram for classes that we’ve procrastinated in for the last couple of weeks. Here are some of the best study tips and strategies for acing that final:

  1. Organize your study space.
  2. Make studying convenient for you. Set time aside and create your own goals.
  3. Study before going to bed.
  4. Limit distractions.Yeah, this includes your phone.
  5. Practice on old worksheets or exams.
  6. Space it out. DO NOT cram for all 6 classes in one night.
  7. Organize study groups. Although this can be distracting it can benefit you and everyone else by combining all your brain power.
  8. Ask questions during class.
  9. Take regular breaks. Treat yourself for studying hard.
  10. Eat brain food.  Fish, nuts, seeds, yogurt and blueberries are all proven to aid in concentration and memory.
  11. Make notecards.
  12. Eat a good breakfast before finals.
  13. Ask for help.
  14. Write it out or make a to-do list to stay on task.
  15. Use different color pens when studying.
  16. Manage your time wisely.
