As you all know, finals are quickly approaching. Here are a few studying strategies from fastweb.com.

  1. Ask questions. If there is something you don’t understand about the material you’re studying, don’t hesitate to ask. I know it can be intimidating, but teachers will be happy to help you, all you have to do is ask.
  2.  Stay organized. No one can successfully study if their notes and materials are a jumbled mess. Take a few minutes and throw away things you don’t need, and put things in some sort of order that works for you.
  3. Create your own study guides. While teachers usually give you study guides, it may be beneficial to create your own personal guide, one that focuses on this you have trouble with or feel that you need to spend more time on.
  4. Start early. Procrastinators, this is a horrible time for us, but don’t fall into the abyss of doing absolutely nothing until the last minute. You don’t have to get everything done at once, that would be insane. Instead, make a schedule of the whole week, and plan ahead what assignments you need to get done on each day. It seems simple, but pays off in the end.
  5. Organize a group study session. Studying with a group of friends can help in making studying less stressful and miserable. Get a few friends together, have everybody bring food or just order pizza, and get to studying.

I hope these tips were helpful! If you’d like to see the rest of fastweb’s tips, here is the link to the article.
