“The Grinch” Inspired Cookies

What you will need:

1 box dry vanilla cake mix

1/2 cup butter softened

2 eggs

1 Tbsp oil

Green food coloring

Red heart sprinkles

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1/2 cup cornstarch

Green decorating gel/frosting

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a bowl put in your cake mix, butter, eggs, and oil.
  3. Mix well until no clumps.
  4. Add green food coloring to desired “Grinch” color.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together cornstarch and powdered sugar.
  6. Roll dough into balls and put into the powdered sugar mixture.
  7. Place dough balls onto parchment paper lined cookie sheet, not too close to each other.
  8. Bake 8-10 minutes until done, being careful not to let them get brown (Brown would ruin the grinchyness).
  9. Remove from oven, let sit for 2 mins.
  10. Place on wire rack, allow to cool completely.
  11. Using green frosting or gel, put a dot on each cookie, and use it to glue on the red hearts.
