Orion at Rockridge

Emiliah Morrison

Tuesday night the Orion Volleyball team took on the Rockets in Rockridge. After a thirty minute bus ride from Orion, the girls arrived in the gym ready to play and dominate. The varsity game was broadcasted on channel 6 television. The crowd was big and the student section was extremely noisy. The varsity game started around 7 pm after the fresh-soph and freshman games. The varsity girls swept the Rockets 25-15 the first game and 25-19 the second. The Orion volleyball team would all agree it was a well played match. This was a great win to have before the post season starts and really shows all the work the team has put in throughout the season. That was the Chargers 30th win over all and the team is 10-0 in conference! Also, come out to Orion on Thursday for senior night to watch some great volleyball. The Chargers will take on Bureau Valley, freshman @5, fresh-soph @6 and varsity @7.

Also, on Tuesday night, the team congratulated Sarah Jacobsen on beating the schools record for kills! The team got the privilege to present Sarah with some gifts and a group hug after the game. Sarah has 936 kills and counting, if you see her kindly congratulate her on this awesome accomplishment.
