Picking Pumpkin Patches

Kati Kratzberg

A five day weekend is headed our way, and one way you might want to spend it is at the pumpkin patch. There are three main pumpkin patches on the Illinois side of the Quad Cities, but what’s different between them? Country Corner, in Alpha, has zombie paintball on October weekends. The prices are very reasonable at $5 during the day and $10 at  night. Another pumpkin patch that is probably closer to home is Corn Crib. Corn Crib offers pumpkin slingshots through October 21st, along with human hamster wheels. Everything they offer comes included with the entry fee of $8. The last pumpkin patch is a little bit of a farther drive, but definitely still worth it. Located in East Moline, Shady Knoll Farm, is probably the most scenic of all the pumpkin patches and would be great for picture taking. This pumpkin patch has not one, but two corn mazes and admission is free. If you can’t choose which patch to pick, you might as well try them all.Image result for pumpkin patches
