No Negative News

In a world where news is almost always negative, it’s nice to hear some uplifting stories that remind of us of the good in the world. This past year, chef Jose Andres, the starter of World Central Kitchen, has been providing food to the nation of Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico was hit by a category 5 hurricane in September of 2017. Since then, Jose and his crew have fed over 3 million people who lost everything in the hurricane. They have now moved to the east coast of the U.S. to feed those in the wake of Hurricane Florence. Jose owns several restaurants and his company is dedicated to educating and feeding impoverished people all over the world.

Tony Alsup is another man dedicated to making the world a better place when hurricanes hit. Tony has been rescuing pets that have been left behind or are in danger from the water levels. He will go from town to town in a big bus that he bought and grab pets from shelters that are no longer being tended to. In just two short days, he rescued close to 60 pets and brought them to safety. Tony takes all dogs, sick or healthy and gives them a chance at life.
