Kamikaze by Eminem took the whole rap world and put it on its axis.  The album was a surprise because there was no leaks, no advertisement, and no news about its released before it dropped at midnight on August 31st, 2018. This comes as the 10th studio album from the artist following his previous album titled Revival.

Revival was, overall, considered a flop from the general audience and fans of Eminem’s music. Also, considered a flop in sales, Revival is the only album by Eminem that has not be certified platinum by Recording Industry Association of America. The album had no rememberable songs or in my opinion, no good songs at all. Eminem wanted to be done after that album, but then he realized he can’t go out like that, so he released Kamikaze. He comes after and disses everyone who said anything bad about his last album, and disses some of the biggest names in the rap game and outside of it, such as Lil Yatchy, Lil Pump, Drake, Vice President Mike Pence, and even President Donald Trump.

The tracklist on the album contains 13 tracks with a 45 minute and 49 second run time, with 2 of those 13 tracks being skits. In my opinion, there is not a bad song on the album. All the songs are solid and some include some good features such as Joyner Lucas, Royce Da 5´9, and Jessie Reyez. There are obviously some great songs on the album such as the 1st track, ¨The Ringer¨, the 8th track ¨Kamikaze¨, and the 12th track ¨Good Guy¨ (featuring Jessie Reyez).

This album is a good return for Eminem, it is more reminiscent of his older music where he rapped like he didn’t care about people’s opinions, or anything at all. As much as I want Eminem to continue to create music, I wouldn’t be disappointed if this was the closing album to his career. For these reasons, I rate this album as a 8/10.
