Charging Up Against the Rockets

Katie Noyd, Journalist

I wish that I could say we had a wonderful triumph over the Rockridge Rockets last night, but in a hard fought battle at charger field, Orion Softball lost 11-4. The Rockets and Chargers have been rivals for many years in regards to softball. Over the years, Rockridge has had an outstanding softball team within their conference, but with the new, young, and talented infield, Orion softball has begun to make a comeback. At the beginning of the season, the Rockets and Chargers have been expected to be some of the best teams in the Three Rivers Conference. Hailey Frutiger, our starting 3rd baseman who had one out of the park homerun in the game last night, says this about the game “I was very surprised about their starting lineup, and especially the way they arranged their defense.” Tonight is the second conference game against the Rockets at the Rocket field complex so don’t forget to come out and support your Charger girls!
