The Orion/Sherrard United girls varsity soccer team kicked off the season opener with a shutout against Alleman High School. United won yesterday’s home non-conference game against Alleman (Rock Island, IL) by a score of 2-0. First goal of the 2018 season was scored by Lydia Clark assisted by Jamie Abbott in the 8th minute of the game. In the 19th minute Emily Teel, from Sherrard, had an amazing shot from 40 yards out going over Allemans keepers head into the back of the net. Next home game is March 29th against Rock Island.
