What burns my bacon is how Valentine’s Day is viewed by the people. Valentine’s Day is a day where people show their love for one another, but it’s kinda changed. You see these ads everywhere before Valentine’s Day, and companies are trying to have couples spend a bunch of money to try and make them “happier” when some people don’t need material things but the love of others. Just spend the day with the one you love and give them something meaningful that’s not materialistic. Nowadays, everyone expects something from their significant other. Usually the men get chocolate, flowers, and dinner for the women. Women get men a card or something, I don’t know. There has been this advertising push to spend a lot of money to prove your love for Valentine’s Day. It’s not the case, you and a loved one can be happy together and keep it simple. The gift from the heart means more than the gift from the store. Chick-fil-A has a heart shaped container for chicken, you could get that. It’s like $14 and you get a bunch of nuggets.
