Cocaine Beach

According to AP News, Cocaine and crack supplies have been recently showing up in Europe a lot along with drug violence. 600k (nearly a ton) worth of cocaine randomly washed up on a beach. Police are investigating where it came from and why it just showed up. Some think that it was from a ship but others think it was intentionally there for someone to pick up. Police say they have never seen such a large quantity. There were 2 huge packages linked with a rope and it weighed 850 kilos (1, 875 pounds) in total. This isn’t exactly unusual for drugs to wash up once or twice a year. According to Ap News, “The North Sea port cities of Antwerp in Belgium and Rotterdam in the Netherlands have become the main gateway for Latin American cocaine cartels into Europe,” meaning that cocaine has been found multiple times in the past few months. The cocaine was discovered by the French Maritime Police in France.
