Mascots

Mascots

A lot of schools have mascots and I think that we should have one too. Mascots are fun to have and encourage students during games. School names and nicknames are what people remember most about others’ schools but with mascots the schools identity could be increased. Mascots entertain audiences and students of all ages. According to Olympus Mascots, “Whether your mascot would dance, run through the crowd, give out promotional items, or interact with the opposing team’s mascot; your students, fans, and community will look forward to seeing and interacting with your school mascot”, meaning that no matter what the mascot does, people would want to see the mascot and cheer for the students in the activity. Students and teachers could change but the mascot would stay the same (maybe even improve over time). I’m not saying that the mascot will make the school or players better but it would make our school more unique and it would bump up our school spirit. Most high schools are the same. Maybe it’s time to spice it up a little and bring back the mascot. Mascots make everyone feel included and it creates a stronger bond with the students and the school. I think that it’s important to have fun during school activities, students should have fun so we should have a school mascot.
