Queen Elizabeth’s Diet

Queen Elizabeths Diet

Hayley VanDuyne, Writer

We all know of the legend herself, Queen Elizabeth. While being an overall icon, she also sustains a very clean diet that could be responsible for her health in her older age.

While she isn’t always at her best, she certainly tries her hardest, through food, to be in the best health. She is a very picky eater when it comes to her produce consumption. She will only eat the produce that is currently in season, refuses garlic in any type of food as she has to talk to people all day, and very much limits her processed food intake. Her chefs know all about her preferences and use only the finest ingredients.

When she has guests however, she quite literally spices it up. Google states, “ The monarch is believed to keep things simple for lunch, often enjoying a plate of fish and vegetables. Darren told House and Garden that a typical lunch would be Dover sole on a bed of wilted spinach. The royal is said to avoid starchy pasta and potatoes when eating alone.” She loves to entertain and definitely doesn’t let the quality of food slip even when company is over.

Afternoon tea, an everyday occurrence and custom in Britain, is also a big deal in the castle. The Queen takes great joy in her daily cup of earl gray and various nutrient dense snacks.

Overall, the Queen takes great pride in fueling her body with only the best!
