5 Easter Traditions

5 Easter Traditions

Emily Hickerson, Writer

Easter is a very fun and bright holiday that has many different traditions.

One Easter tradition is going to an Easter parade. Many different cities offer Easter parades on Easter or around Easter. Parades are fun for people of all ages and can include marching bands, fire trucks, beautiful floats, ect. Go get your kids and head to an Easter parade nearby!

Another Easter tradition is decorating Easter eggs. Decorating Easter eggs is something that everyone can do and have fun with. You can decorate your egg with stickers, glitter, bright colors, ect. You can even have Easter egg decorating competitions with your family or neighborhood.

The next Easter tradition is to attend the Easter service on Sunday. For many different families, Easter isn’t Easter without going to Easter service on Easter Sunday. Church can be a fun family time where you can worship what you believe.

Easter egg rolling is also a very popular tradition. Easter egg rolling can happen whenever but usually takes place the Monday after Easter. The goal is to see whose egg can roll the farthest without breaking. Whoevers egg rolls the farthest usually gets a prize.

The final Easter tradition is to have an Easter egg hunt. This is a pretty popular tradition and is really fun. While the kids are sleeping, the Easter bunny hides eggs with candy in them around the house and sometimes even outside. This tradition can just be with the family or with the town.

Easter can be a fun time to hang out with family and friends and eat lots of good food!
