This week I asked a few people what their favorite family tradition is.

  • Mrs. Stannke – “We take selfies everywhere we go.”

  • Tiana Donahue – “Every year on christmas we watch christmas movies, make popcorn and cookies then eat them.”

  • Xander Carlson – “We go on cool vacations, like to all the 50 states and all the national parks.”

  • Kane Lieving – “Have interesting conversations with my family while eating delicious food, and celebrating a national holiday.”

  • Bianca Schnerre – “We read How the Grinch Stole Christmas! every Christmas Eve.”

  • Mrs. Kershaw – “Every summer we bring a big blow up mattress to the drive in and eat pounds of candy.”

  • Kaitlyn Wilburn – “Every couple weeks I go over to my grandpa’s house and have chicken tacos and I bring over dessert.”

  • Olivia Thomsen – “Every year me and my extended family celebrate a German holiday we call Friden, and it is always a lot of fun.”

  • Gracie McHenry – “Every sunday my sister and nephew, and sometimes brother, come over and we have a family dinner and game night.”

  • Hayley Vanduyne – “We hide a pickle ornament on our christmas tree and the first one who finds it gets year long bragging rights.”

  • Liz Wilbur- “Dutch Days. We go to Fulton Illinois every first weekend of May. We have a Swedish culture, I even dressed up in custom + wooden shoes a couple years.”

  • Eric Thorndyke – “Every Sunday, after church, we go to eat lunch with our grandparents. Later in the day, we leave to go have dinner with our other grandparents.”
