McDonald’s seasonal Shamrock Shakes are back as of Monday, February 21 until the end of March. Shamrock Shakes are a green minty drink with a vanilla ice cream base, whip light cream topping, and McDonald’s signature secret shamrock shake syrup topped with a cherry. They are released around the end of February and through March in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, the 17th of March. Shamrock Shakes are also available as an Oreo Shamrock McFlurry blend which was released more recently adding the shamrock base to a blend with McDonald’s classic Oreo McFlurry.

Personally I love Shamrock Shakes and like to get at least one while they are out for their limited time. I usually will get one to celebrate my birthday which is at the end of March. It does seem like to me though that many people either hate the shakes or love them and that there is not a big in between “they taste fine,” reaction, so I decided to ask a couple of my peers if they like Shamrock Shakes or not.

“I don’t really mind them, but after a couple sips it starts to taste like chemicals.” – Ava Terry

“I love Shamrock Shakes.” – Lauren Larson

If you’ve never tried a Shamrock Shake I suggest you do so now while they are out and see if you like them or not. Although, I recommend that you call the McDonalds location of where you are seeking to find a Shamrock Shake ahead of time to make sure they carry the product and that their machines for the product are working to ensure that you don’t go specifically for the shake and find yourself disappointed.
