On Sunday night, the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals played for the Lombardi Trophy, in Super Bowl LVI. This year the game was hosted at Sofi Stadium in Inglewood, California, near the City of Los Angeles. The Super Bowl is one of the biggest nights for American football fans and it includes many traditions such as the game itself, the halftime show, and the infamous $500,000+ commercials. The Super Bowl brings so many viewers each year because it appeals to more than football fans. The halftime show appeals to people who enjoy music and the commercials appeal to your everyday person stuck watching commercials, but many pay close attention to these commercials and are quick to scrutinize them due to their expensive price tag.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson introduced Super Bowl LVI by announcing the two teams. Jhené Aikiko sang the National Anthem and sang America the Beautiful. The Super Bowl LVI halftime performers included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and surprise guests 50 cent, as well as Anderson Paak. This year’s halftime show was well-reviewed, on Twitter, by most, and some users claimed that this was the best halftime show ever.

The LA Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals 23 to 20. The Rams’ quarterback, Mathew Stafford, was traded to the Rams from the Detroit Lions. Stafford played in Detroit for 12 years without ever winning a single playoff game. Now Stafford has multiple playoffs wins under his belt and he and his team have won a Super Bowl game, the ultimate end goal in the NFL.
