We all know and love the game Wordle that has surfaced through social medias. We all love competing with friends to see who gets the daily wordle in the least amount of tries, and if you’re like me, you almost always lose. But, how did this game come to be, like who created it? Well as it turns out, Mr. Josh Wardle, a software engineer, created this game for his partner. He wanted to make a fun guessing game for them to play everyday. It soon became popular amongst his family in their group chat, which made him realize that it could be a popular hit. He then released this word game to the public on November 1st. The fact that there is just one wordle per day is to cause a sense of longing, curiosity, and exciting for the next day to come. Another good thing about wordle is that it doesn’t have any ads or ask for money or anything, it’s just a fun game to play. There have also been spin-offs of the game for different categories. For example, there is a taylordle which is Taylor Swift themed. There is also a Harry Potter themed one called Wizarding Wordle. If you have not already be sure to go and try out the daily Wordle.
