Ghostbusters: Afterlife

Ghostbusters: Afterlife

There are currently four Ghostbusters movies. Ghostbusters (1984), Ghostbusters II (1989), Ghostbusters: Answer the Call (2016), Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021). On November 19th, 2021 the fourth movie was released titled, Ghostbusters: Afterlife. This movie has a 62% in rotten tomatoes. Looking at an overview of the movie, the summary is “When a single mother and her two children move to a new town, they soon discover they have a connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.” The cast of this movie has a good lineup. Including Paul Rudd, Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, and includes the old cast. I liked the variety of characters. They all had different personalities which would interest a wide variety of people.

It was interesting to see the way they incorporated Harold Ramis as he unfortunately passed in 2014. He had no talking parts, but they included a ghost version of him. They also brought back the villain from the original movie named Gozer and the marshmallow men. I liked how the movie was very fast-paced, there were not any slow parts to where it felt like I wanted to fall asleep. And although the movie is a little over 2 hours long it does not feel that way.

If I could critique one thing it would be to change the trailer. The trailer makes the movie look stupid. It would be more interesting if they added more funny clips. Or clips of interesting movie scenes.
