Working Hard or Hardly Working?

Working Hard or Hardly Working?

Ava T, Writer

There have been horror stories about fingers being served in food or a customer who refuses to believe their coupon is expired. Here are some of the worst things Orion High Schoolers have done at their job, anonymously of course.

  • “I yelled at an old lady after she ran my toe over and broke my foot. I felt really bad after I did it, but I was in extreme pain.”
  • “A random guy came in and said our prices were way too high so I just gave 24 cookies.”
  • “One time I was toasting a sandwich and it came out of the toaster and there was a dead fly in it. I just picked it off and gave them the sandwich.”
  • “Gave a child expired milk.”
  • “I actually stole soup today.”
  • “One time I threw away a batch of cookies and someone came in asking for them. I took them out of the trash and gave it to them. They were like 2 days old.”
  • “Got pooped on at the nursing home.”
  • “I accidentally scanned something twice and I’m not allowed to remove it. The item was $50, but they didn’t ask for the receipt so it was okay.”
  • “I got beat up by an old person.”
  • “One time I was closing, I forgot to put back the phone so I took the work phone home with me overnight.”
  • “Talking trash about the people I work with.”
  • “One time I was closing alone and invited a lot of ppl to come help. We ended up connecting to the Bluetooth and stealing cookies.”
  • “Someone pulled off without getting their change so I kept it as a tip.”
  • “I give people the wrong order on purpose when I don’t feel like getting their food or we’re out of it.”
