After twenty years of waiting, the world-renowned movie ¨The Matrix¨ has returned to theaters with actor Keanu Reeves reprising the role as Neo.

Around the time of 1995, Lilly and Lana Wachowski wrote stories trying to tell The Matrix in which humans in the distant future are trapped unknowingly in a simulated reality and are being harvested for their energy. Laurence Fishburne (Morphius) shows Keanu Reeves ( Neo) that his life isn’t what it seems and gives the option to either stay in the simulation and ¨live your life¨ or save the world.

With The Matrix being very different coming out before the X-Men and other superhero movies, the film collected over $466,000,000 worldwide.
