Human Remains Were Found In a Pond

Kasey Filler, Writer

On Monday human remains were found in a small pond outside of Dewitt. According to the Clinton County Sheriff  Bill Greenwalt, the remains were found by two fisherman and reported immediately at 6:30 p.m. The FBI, Davenport Police Department, and Clinton County Medical Examiner have been helping in the investigation. The remains have not been identified and the investigators have said that it could take one to two weeks at best before the identification could be made. A lot of people have been questioning if the remains found are Breasia Terrell’s. Breasia’s mother was at the news briefing and when asked about the topic she responded with “no comment”.  Breasia went missing in July and since then the Davenport Police Department has received a credible tip that she would be found in a cornfield or ditch in Clinton County. Although the remains could be those of Breasia there are a lot of other missing people that it could be as well.

There aren’t a lot of further details about this yet. Once there is more information released and the investigation goes further I will update on this situation.
