Since Taylor Swift’s Big Machine Label Group was bought she has had a plan to re-record her first 5 albums. She is doing this so that she can own her own music because of what happened with her previous label. She will be re-recording her self titled album, 2008’s Fearless, 2010’s Speak Now, 2012’s Red, and 2014’s 1989. Taylor has recently announced that her Fearless album is ready to be released and she released her re-recorded version of Love Story (a single) the other day.

This is what Taylor says about re-recording her music. She says in the Billboard Woman of The Decade cover story in December 2019, ” Every week, we get a dozen synch requests to use ‘Shake It Off’ in some advertisement or ‘Blank Space’ in some movie trailer, and we say no to every single one of them…. and the reason I’m rerecording my music next year is because I do want my music to live on. I do want it to be in movies, I do want it to be in commercials. But I only want that if I own it.” With her previous contract it was very strict and her label basically owned everything. Now that she has gotten out out of that deal she has this opportunity to make it her own and she’s really excited for the future of her music.

I am so excited for all of her old albums to come out again. I love Taylor Swift’s music so much, especially the songs on her old albums. I’ve already listened to her re-recording of Love Story so many times.
