Disney actress Olivia Rodrigo dropped her single “Drivers License” on January 8th. In just 3 days the song broke Spotify’s record for most streams in a day for a non holiday song. The song ranked up over 15 million global plays on January 11th and over 17 million streams the following day. Drivers License is the biggest song in the world right now and it has broken many other records on other music streaming platforms with the help of an infamous app for popularizing songs TikTok. The song has been featured as number 1 on Billboard Hot 100, Billboard Global 200, and Top 100 Global: Apple Music, and Top Songs Global and Top Songs USA: Spotify. On Spotify it also now has the record for most streams for a song in a week. “Drivers License” didn’t stop there and it broke Amazon Music’s record for most requested song ever in 1 day on Alexa globally and the biggest first week streaming debut ever globally on the music platform as well.

In an interview the 17 year old said “It’s been the absolute craziest week of my life,” and 

“My entire life just, like, shifted in an instant.”

Rodrigo is not new to popularity because she is a disney actress who had already obtained a following and fan base before her single. She was born and raised in Southern California where she became an actress on a Disney channel show named “Bizaardvark” at the age of 12. The new found pop artist is currently starring as Nina Salazar-Roberts on the Disney+ series “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.”

As of now Olivia Rodrigo’s song “Drivers License” remains as number 1 on Billboard Hot 100, Billboard Global 200, Top 100 Global: Apple Music, and Top Songs Global and Top Songs USA: Spotify.
