The MLB season will be starting once again. The season will begin at the end of the month, but there have been many happenings during the offseason.

Many players have signed new big contracts including Brewers star Christian Yelich, who won the 2018 MVP award. It’s a 8 year 218 million dollar contract, making it the biggest in Brewers history by far. Milwaukee will hope to come back and contend for the NL Central this year after finishing second in 2019. The Cubs and last year’s division champs Cardinals will also be in a close race like every year. But, the real team to watch for this season will be the Cincinnati Reds. After having many sad years as one of the worst teams in the National League, the Reds’ combination of young talent and offseason signings, including Mike Moustakas and Nick Castellanos. We’ll see who will take the always close race.

Like the beginning of any season, there are players met by injury. Yankees star Aaron Judge is once again hurt. Ever since his Rookie of the Year campaign back in 2017, Judge has been plagued by injury. Yankees fans are hoping he can be healthy enough to start the season. Hopefully he doesn’t have another disappointing season. Another player injured during the preseason is Red Sox ace Chris Sale. This is a player which you definitely don’t want to be injured. Sale has been one of the most dominant pitchers during his career.

This is shaping up to be another good season, unless you’re the Houston Astros.
