The Orion varsity boys basketball team had their final games of the regular season. They played on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. These boys have had an amazing season. However, it’s not over yet. Now the fun begins… post season. The boys will be playing in regionals this week. First, let’s talk about the games this past week. On Tuesday, the boys played Knoxville. The next day, the Chargers took on Morrison. Then on Friday, they played Morrison once again. This the Chargers played very well in all games.

In the Tuesday game, the boys faced a tough Knoxville Blue Bullets team. For most of the game, the Orion Chargers had a decent size lead. The Bullets came close a couple times, however not close enough to where they could take the lead. This game was intense at first, but the Chargers ended up dominating. The final score was 62-53.

On Wednesday, the Orion Chargers hit the road to Morrison. During that week the Chargers had to play The Morrison Mustangs twice. This game was this first time for this season for Orion to play them. During this game, the Chargers came out with a bang. They kept their lead, even though the Mustangs came close a couple times.  The Chargers ended up beating the Mustangs 69-42.

Friday nights game was the final home game of the season. It was senior night against Morrison. This game was emotional for the seniors. However, they played very well and was able to beat the Mustangs once again, 56-32.

This week, the Orion Chargers have regionals. They will play their regional games in Mercer County. Make sure to come out and support these boys!
