This past week, the Orion Charger varsity boys basketball team kept their season rolling. Unlike previous weeks of having two games, the Chargers only had one game scheduled. The game was in Orion on Friday, January 31st and the stands were full.  In fact, it was an important game because it was a conference game. The Orion Chargers played the Riverdale Rams. The boys have already played the Rams and beat them on their home court. This time, the Chargers beat them once again with no problem.

This game started off decently intense. In the first few minutes of the game, the score was close. However, by the end of the first quarter, the Chargers had a pretty good lead. Throughout the rest of the game, the varsity boys kept putting points on the board. Most shots were going in and the game was looking good for the Orion Chargers. By the end of the third quarter, the Chargers had scored so many points that it ended up being a running clock for the fourth quarter. The final score ended up being 67-34. The Orion Chargers played an overall good game.

Coming up this week for the boys basketball team is more games! They play on Tuesday, February 4th and on Friday, February 7th. Both games are away this week. Tuesday’s game is in Farmington at 7pm and Friday’s game will be in Rockridge at 7pm. Both of these games are important, especially Fridays, so come out and support the varsity boys basketball team.
